Richard Slone is a disabled Army veteran whose powerful storytelling weaves emotional depth and resilience into character-driven fantasy and sci-fi narratives. A Cum Laude graduate in music education from Berea College, Richard briefly pursued theological studies at AGTS seminary in Springfield, Missouri, before serving in the military, an experience that left him with PTSD. At the urging of his therapist, he turned to writing as a means of healing, crafting stories that explore overcoming trauma and feelings of inadequacy, wrapped in vivid, genre-driven worlds.
With a mischievous grin, Richard laces his tales with a bold mix of libertarian and Christian vibes, championing freedom and faith in worlds where heroes defy control and seek redemption. His snarky, upbeat narratives challenge conventions while keeping readers glued to the page, proving you can blend rugged individualism with divine grit and still have a blast.
